Chris Delaney is an ordained minister and the Founder and President of Joseph's Coat Ministries, Inc. since 1996. Chris
was born in Chattanooga, TN, on July 24, 1970. He was raised in Jasper, TN, a small town 30 minutes from Chattanooga. Chris
married Nicole on August 30, 2002, and they have two children: Emma Rose, born February 8, 2004, and Asher, born January 5,
2006. Today, Chris and his family live in Ringgold, GA, and have been members of City Church of Chattanooga since approximately
1996.
Chris has extensive experience in ministry:
- 5 years of full-time ministry
to those infected/affected with the AIDS virus (Channels of Love Ministry)
- Served as a staff
member (Carol Pikini Ministries, Kingly Ministries, Unlimited Designs) or volunteer for local churches
(Carol Pikini Ministries) and Christian ministries (Agape Outreach)
- Interviewed
on TV and radio (Christian Radio J-103, American Family Radio, Chattanooga radio talk show host Jeff Styles, German
Public TV)
- Spoken before a number of local churches (City Church, Living Covenant, Word
of Life, Rossville Baptist, Canaan Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist Church), youth groups (Red Bank
Youth), college campuses (Presbyterian House at UTC, Lee University in Cleveland, TN)
and other organizations.
Chris is currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
at Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, GA, working toward an Associates degree in
Sacred Literature.
This ministry has been promoted by local Christian Radio J-103
for a 2-year period from 2008 through 2009.
Chris was interviewed by German Public
TV which then aired his story to 5 million Germans.
Chris' photo was used in a billboard
campaign by PFOX (Parent's and Friends of Ex-Gays) in Virginia entitled: EX-GAY'S PROVE CHANGE
IS POSSIBLE. These billboards went up throughout the Virginia and Washington DC area. The billboards were
featured in the Pro-Gay magazine The Advocate and the Washington Blade.
Chris
has shared his testimony to 4-5 million Americans through American Family Radio and the One
News Now e-mail publication.
